What I’m thinking about today.

Here’s a little paraphrased nugget from my pastor yesterday.

“Pride is telling you that everyone else needs to change.”(Ken Landis)

I’d never thought of it that way before.

When we tell ourselves that someone else needs to change, it’s pride in our hearts, because that means we don’t have to do anything!  It’s the easy way out, every time.

So this pride thing is kinda like the opposite of love.  Love tells us that we should take action and accommodate others.  Pride tells us that others need to change.

It looks simple here in front of you on this screen.  But, over the past weeks, I have found it is hard to actually do, and that’s okay.  God calls us to do hard things.
